In planning: Foundation Mensch Meldorf and Freundeskreis Hospiz Dithmarschen

With Stiftung Mensch we are developing a house with several residential units for both young and old people with mental and physical disabilities as a replacement for the current ageing building. The new facility is intended to provide the future residents with the most independent way and sense of living possible and is therefore divided into smaller residential groups of eight residents each, whose private rooms are grouped around a shared living and dining room with an open kitchen. The new space being created should open up further into Meldorf’s society and become a meeting place, a place of inclusion. Planned on a site that brings together privacy and publicity for the surrounding area through the building layout. The plans envisage that, in the spirit of inclusion, this property will also house an administration and training building for the Freundeskreis Hospice Dithmarschen in the direct vicinity of the Stiftung Mensch residential facility, as well as two smaller separate buildings with inpatient hospice flats for people who cannot be cared for at home on their final journey.
