Helping to restore “venerable buildings” to their former glory is also part of the tasks we have been entrusted with time and again. A proud, traditional hotel on the Alster, the Hotel Atlantic was one of them, where we were entrusted with the preparation for the tender for the basic façade renovation. To achieve this, the façade was mapped in detail and depicted in new elevation plans. Based on these drawings with a high degree of accuracy, especially with regard to the façade ornaments and column capitals, the tender for the renovation and the cost assessment were able to be carried out in advance with a high degree of accuracy. Following the renovation work, the Grand Dame now shines above the banks of the Aussenalster once again.

And the Alte Oberpostdirektion on Stephansplatz is once again resplendent. For this impressive existing building from the 1880s, 30 years older than the aforementioned Hotel Atlantic, we provided technical due diligence support for the investor. Whilst walking through almost all the rooms of this 300 m long building complex as part of the assignment and recording the relevant points in detail was quite arduous, in the end it helped confer new splendour on this building by Stephansplatz.
