...even when the child may need to be hospitalized for weeks. With this reassuring feeling, more parents whose children require medical care at the Altona Children's Hospital can spend this emotionally challenging time. The McDonald's Children's Aid Foundation, operator of the Ronald McDonald House with Oase Hamburg-Altona, has decided in collaboration with the Altona Children's Hospital to expand the existing 11 apartments to a total of 20 apartments.
This means that in the future, in line with the increased demand, many families can live close to their sick child, retreat as needed, and recharge.
We are very pleased to continue overseeing the expansion of this beautiful project, thus planning and implementing a "home away from home" for nearly 450 families who annually stay at the Ronald McDonald House.
